Enjoy relaxed lakeside dining at the historic landmark Black North Inn at Point Breeze, New York. Established in 1857, the Black North Inn is located at the mouth of the Oak Orchard River. We offer free customer docking available for boaters and boat slips for seasonal and transient rental as well.

Our menu has something on it for everyone! We offer seafood, steaks, prime rib, burgers, pizza, wings, homemade soups, salads and a full Mexican Menu every Sunday during summer, in addition to our regular menu. Be sure to consult our Menu page for details. Our atmosphere is relaxed, casual, and fun. In the warmer months we have outdoor seating to make your experience at the lake even more satisfying.

We often get asked where the name “Black North” came from. Some say the forest around here was so dense at one time that very little daylight shone to the ground - hence Black, and we are as far North as you can travel (to the end of Route 98N). Another possibility is that in the winter the sky is always "Black" to the "North" over the lake.
